报告题目:Three-phase LLC DC/DC Converters
The power consumption of a data center has been dramatically increased recently by more than one order of magnitude, in excess of GW, due to AI related applications. The power majorly draws from 35 KVA medium voltage utilities and in part from renewable energy as well as suitable level of energy storage. The power architecture based on scalable solid-state transformer (SST) is deemed favorable to convert directly from 35KV 3-phase AC lines to 800VDC. Subsequently, at the rack level, 800V DC will be converted to sub-one volt level to power the GPUs. The proposed architecture is deemed simpler, more efficient and flexible for the ever-increasing power demands.
This presentation is focus on the rack level power conversion, namely 800V/48V conversion and targeting at a higher power level, higher power density and efficiency. The topic of 3-phase LLC DC/DC converter is an area infested with patent rights. The purpose of this paper is to help you steer aways from those patent rights and offer you a PCB based heterogeneously integrated solution with higher power density, efficiency and suitable for automation.

报告题目:Graph-Based Power Electronics: From Converter Topologies to Intelligent Energy Systems
Power electronics is becoming the backbone of an increasingly complex energy system, connecting renewable generation, energy storage, electric transportation, and highly dynamic loads such as data centres. As converter architectures, control strategies, and system integrations continue to evolve, new approaches are needed to understand and design these systems in a holistic perspective. This presentation explores graph theory as a framework for connecting converter topology, modulation, control, and system-level optimization. From fundamental topological relationships to graph-based intelligent control, we will examine how a graph-based approach can bridge power electronics and emerging AI technologies, offering new pathways toward scalable, intelligent, and interconnected energy systems.

报告题目:Integration in Power Electronics: Types – Benefits – Penalties – Boundaries
Integration is a fundamental innovation vector in power electronics, extending far beyond advanced packaging and maximum power density. The talk first provides a holistic view across hierarchical levels, from components to systems of systems, and across hardware, control, and software domains. It then contrasts benefits such as reduced part count, size, weight, and cost, and improved performance with penalties from increased complexity, interdependencies, and reduced flexibility. Finally, the boundaries of integration are framed as a multi-dimensional optimization problem that balances performance and economics against modularity, reliability, thermal decoupling, scalability, maintainability, and lifecycle requirements, including repair, refurbishment, and recycling.
Johann W. Kolar received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees (summa cum laude) from the Vienna University of Technology, Austria. After 15 years as an international consultant and independent researcher, he was appointed Associate Professor and Head of the Power Electronic Systems Laboratory at ETH Zurich in 2001 and promoted to Full Professor in 2004. His research has resulted in numerous novel converter concepts, including the Vienna Rectifier, the Swiss Rectifier, the X-Rectifier, and the Sparse Matrix Converter. He spearheaded the development of x-million-rpm motors and pioneered fully automated, multi-objective power electronics design procedures. 报告题目:Latest Power Chip & Module Technologies for Diverse Applications from Home Appliances to Energy Infrastructure
In recent years, the rapidly developing AI data centers have increased the importance of cutting-edge power electronics. In particular, applications seeking power devices with high efficiency, stable long-term characteristics, and reliable performance are increasing. Mitsubishi Electric manufactures a wide range of power devices for these needs, from 600V~6500V, from low to high current. This keynote will explain the latest technologies related to Si and especially SiC devices, along with their performance and reliability, and introduce the latest power module products and technologies that contribute to the energy society by supporting a wide range of applications from home appliances to energy infrastructure.
In 1996, after earning the Ph.D from Osaka University, he joined Mitsubishi Electric's Advanced Technology R&D Center. He was involved in the development of fundamental process technologies for many devices, including DRAM and SiC. In 2011, with the launch of the SiC wafer process line, he moved to a power device works. After serving as General Manager of two device-related departments, he now supports the development of power device and module technologies as a Chief Expert.

报告题目:AI for Power Electronics: From Promising Results to Trusted Practice
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has produced a decade of promising results in power electronics, yet relatively few are deployed where decisions carry significant economic, reliability, or safety consequences. This talk examines what it takes for AI to become a trusted part of engineering practice. It presents advances from academia and industry, including examples from the speaker's team in modeling, control, reliability testing, and condition monitoring. Four foundations are identified for translating promising results into trusted practice: the right data rather than simply more data, quantified uncertainty and repeatable performance, consistency with physical principles, and an auditable pathway to validation and qualification. The talk concludes by examining generative and agentic AI, from agent-driven design and simulation to self-driving laboratories. It argues that while these technologies may reshape how power electronic systems are designed, tested, and operated, their adoption will rest on the same four foundations.
Huai Wang is a Professor with the Department of Energy (AAU Energy), Aalborg University, Denmark. He leads the Reliability of Power Electronic Converters (ReliaPEC) research group and chairs the Mission on Digital Transformation and AI at AAU Energy. His research focuses on efficient, reliable, and cognitive power electronic components and converter systems, spanning reliability engineering, condition monitoring, artificial intelligence, and digitalization for power electronics.
